The vivacious and charming owner of the hotel, Debra Moran, makes quite an impression on Eve as well as the several interesting guests there for the weekend as well. Eve is just starting to relax and enjoy herself when Debra Moran goes missing one night and her body is found in the nearby woods. Warned off investigating by DI Palmer and in charge of writer Debra's obituary, Eve must tread carefully...especially because a murderer lurks nearby and she must figure out who she or he is...and if they will strike again. Murder is foul; and more murders is worse. Eve writes free lance obits for a particular newspaper. She also investigates murder mysteries to obtain info for her obits. She is invited to a weekend at the Abbey Hotel, and the murders start. If you enjoy Poirot, you will enjoy this series.
